Squall Line

A squall line is a row of thunderstorm cells advancing as a single front. No cell leads — they agree on a speed and move together, shoving a cold gust front of outflow ahead of the rain.

The blue arc is the gust front; the cyan cells behind it are the line. Click to seed a new updraft. Drag left/right to push the whole line and watch the outflow race ahead.
